Where the experience comes from

I started on CPM schedules for school district capital projects, residential and mixed-use developments, resort facilities and a hospital seismic renovation. Contractor side and owner side, from conceptual phase through design, permitting, procurement and construction.

At Meta I moved from planning single projects to running a global program. I led long-range planning for the data center portfolio, building integrated schedules from early planning through pre-construction: design, permitting, power readiness, commissioning. Then I owned the executive reporting layer across every project in that portfolio, translating Primavera P6 data into the dashboards leadership planned against.

The part that matters most for this work: I ran the tooling rollouts. When schedule data did not reconcile, I found out whether the cause was the tool, a training gap or a broken process, then fixed it. That is the same diagnosis I run for clients now, with AI as one of the available fixes.

Teaching

• April 2026 to present Stanford University, Department of Technology and Training

  Training professional instructor, AI in Construction Planning. I built the curriculum from scratch and deliver a half-day workshop teaching industry leaders to build AI agents for schedule updates, log and progress review, first-draft variance narratives, and reconciling data across P6, spreadsheets and reports. The course carries PDU, CEU and PDH credit.

• Ongoing Associated General Contractors (AGC)

  Instructor on using AI in construction to make planning and reporting work more efficient, taught to working contractors.

• 2017 to 2018 University of California, Los Angeles Extension

  Instructor, Construction Planning and Management Systems. I designed the curriculum and taught a full-quarter course on planning, scheduling, control and delay impact analysis, covering critical path method, baseline schedules, progress measurement and as-planned versus as-built analysis. Students were working professionals from contractor, owner and consultant backgrounds.

Why EcoConnection

Efficiency and sustainability are the same problem seen from two angles. A project that reworks its schedule six times burns hours, money and material. Cutting the manual work out of planning is the least glamorous form of waste reduction there is, and it is the one I know how to do.
